Formby does not have any radio stations of its own, but there are a number of stations based in the North West that broadcast to Formby.

Dune FM

107.9 FM Dune FM is a Southport based radio station playing contemporary music. It broadcasts local, relevant information, traffic, news and weather to Southport and the surrounding areas.

Radio City

96.7 FM Broadcasting from the St. Johns Beacon aka Radio City Tower in the centre of Liverpool City, Radio City plays mostly modern pop and dance music to the North West of England.

Century Radio

105.4 FM Century Radio broadcasts contemporary music to the North West of England. It is renowned for its on-the-hour news bulletins which are particularly relevant to the area it broadcasts to.

City Talk

105.9 FM City Talk is “The Voice of Liverpool”, a talk radio station broadcast from the Radio City Tower. It features highly talented, popular and experienced hosts such as the legendary Pete Price, Roy Basnett and Trisha Goddard.

Rock FM

97.4 FM Rock FM is broadcast from Preston and plays mainly modern pop music from the 80s onwards.

BBC Radio Merseyside

95.8 FM BBC Radio Merseyside is the BBC’s primary local service for the Merseyside county of England, though it covers most of the North West of England. It plays a huge variety of different formats but is largely talk and news based.

BBC Radio Lancashire

103.9 FM BBC Radio Lancashire is very similar to BBC Radio Merseyside but targetted specifically at Lancashire.
