Save Our Squirrels - Sponsored Walk
Get Sponsored for Sefton’s Squirrels!
Our native red squirrel is under threat. Squirrel pox virus has
reached the Sefton Coast and the effect is proving to be catastrophic.
We know grey squirrels brought in the virus and that it is lethal to
red squirrels. That means that if we are to save our reds we must keep
out the grey squirrels and potential virus. There is already lots of
work being done to help the reds and volunteers are key to this effort,
but there is always more to be done. This sponsored walk is another way
for us to let people know what’s happening and to give everyone an
opportunity to help us to save our squirrels.
Please join in and pass it on!
