Formby has two stations: Freshfield station, located towards the north of the town and Formby station, located further south. The stations are approximately 3 minutes away on the train, 15-20 minutes walking and 3 minutes by car. They are both situated on the Southport to Liverpool line. First class seating is not available on this line.

Both stations are accessible for wheelchair users though the platforms are downstairs from the ticket office at Formby station. Freshfield station is better suited for disabled users as there are no stairs to navigate between the platforms and the ticket office.

Free parking is available for rail users a both stations, however you may find that parking is difficult at peak hours. Cycle storage is available at both platforms at Formby station, and the Liverpool platform at Freshfield station.

Formby station has a heated waiting room for both platforms; Freshfield station only has this facility for Liverpool bound passengers.

Freshfield to Liverpool

Sunday: Every 30 minutes from 08:11 to 23:11

Freshfield to Southport
Monday to Saturday: Every 15 minutes from 06:23 to 00:08
Sunday: Every 30 minutes from 08:38 to 23:53
