"Changing the world one gift at a time"
What is freecycle?
Freecycle is a modern initiative that we're really keen on supporting here. The main intention is to reduce the amount of reusable items that make their way onto landfill sites by letting people offer them for free as gifts to other members of their community. Freecycle comes from ˜free recycling", and that's exactly what they promote.
How does freecycle work?
Freecycle users can list unwanted items on the Freecycle board (powered by Yahoogroups) for that particular area of the country. You can also request items this way. Best of all, it's completely free!
How do I get started?
If you're interested in getting started with Freecycle, you should sign up with either or both of these Yahoogroups. It is from there that most "Freecycling" is conducted.

At the moment, there is no Formby group on Freecycle, but both the Southport and Liverpool groups cover the Formby region. You can usually identify items from Formby from the suffix of on most posts (L37 or Formby).
Where can I get more information?
If you would like more information, it is available from the Freecycle site. They have a very useful FAQ system, located here: http://www.freecycle.org/faq/.
